After: Maintainers have easy access to air filters
After: Maintainers also have easy access to top areas of trucks without the need of EWP
Problem
The replacement of filters & repair of mount mirrors increased the chance of fall hazards by working at height, using EWP’s & safety harnesses. Moreover, the use of EWP’s negatively affected the crew’s efficiency because more time & resources were invested to analyse and fill hazard assessments & work permits.
Solution
Platform was designed and fabricated to safely reach the location of air filters, mirrors & lights.
Advantages
- Platform decreases the likelihood of falls and unsafe positions by eliminating the use of EWP’s & safety harnesses.
- Platform improves the efficiency of crews by allowing the completion of works in less time.
